JSWG went off without a hitch! The roast chicken I made (and there might not be anything funnier than an ex-vegetarian preparing his/her first roast chicken) was delicious.
Unfortunately while making chicken stock with the bones I burnt my right hand (AKA my doodlin' hand) on the oven heating coil. It's not a bad burn by any means and it's not large, but it hurt like the dickens. So instead of drawing for you my awesome chicken-roasting adventure, I sat watching the original Star Wars trilogy with cool damp paper towels on my hand all night.
In other news, there will be lots of sales going on all day tomorrow on Zazzle, so if you've had your eye on something in the store, now's the time! www.zazzle.com/octopodadventures*

I May Be Pathetic, But at Least I Can Check Facebook
The snow is pretty, but losing the internets...it was no picnic. (First world problems.)
In the meantime, tonight's store update is the classic, oft-depicted invertinerd shirt. Now you can own one for yourself!

Attack of the Eyelashes
In case you can't read the text in the bottom right-hand corner, it says, "my head is a really scary place to be, sometimes..."
ANYWAYS, to celebrate 200 (now 201) posts, I'm going to spend the week updating the store with various products. Tonight there are two t-shirts, one which allows you to clearly state what you are really thinking about and the other is for all you emopus/A Softer World: Invertebrate lovers out there.
Tomorrow there will be more updates, possibly including a shirt about tacos. I know, I'm excited too.

Hot Sauce Cure-All
In my efforts to "burn" the cold out of myself, I turned to hot sauce. After several spoonfuls of tabasco, the endorphins kicked in and I felt like I could lift a bus. It was awesome.
On an unrelated note Octopod Adventures has a Twitter account, where you can get inane updates about everything I do in case the comic itself wasn't enough. Anyways, you should check it out.

Inexcusable Absences Do Not Make for Good Blogs
An old TRS and message to myself, but it always applies. It should be sized for computer screen awesomeness. Enjoy.
Also, I realized today that all the blogs/comics I read involve several things:
1. regular updates
2. awesomeness
3. no excuses or unexplained absences
I think that "regular updates" thing is what keeps me from getting lots of you, understandably. I wouldn't read this if I didn't know me so well, and even then I'd get frustrated with the patchy and sporadic comics. I'm going to try and start fixing that, I promise.
If you did read this today, then I owe you one, faithful reader. Thanks for sticking with me. You're awesome. :)

Overwhelmed, Like Woah.
No comics for almost a week. That's Lame Sauce. Capital letters, even.
More TRS classics this week. And I hope to post several new t-shirts soon.

Because One Project Is Never Enough
When I'm in lab I get to draw in ink and do watercolor and charcoals (my lab notes take forever) working on the tablet becomes really unappealing. However, I'll stop whining now.
I'm actually posting to say that another project I'm working on is up and running officially--Super Briefs Magazine. I think it's a really cool idea (hence why I started it with my good friend, Rachel Corsini) but also gives people a chance to submit who might not otherwise. Our first story is up (by talented author/photographer/general awesome person Nik Brink), and you should submit!
Submitting doesn't take much. You don't have to be a writer (stories are less than or equal to the length of a Twitter post!) and we'll get back to you quickly.
That's all for now, regular comic tomorrow.

Comic Business Update
This is not a comic update, just an Octopod Adventures in general update.
There are two new items in the store tonight (Four Cupcakes of the Apocalypse shirt and mug) so you should go look at those. If there's something you'd like to see in the store from the comics that isn't up there, leave a comment and let me know.
As well, most of you already know about the Octopod Adventures bookface page. For those of you who aren't in the know, the OA bookface can be found here. There you can get insider-access to all of the awesome stuff going on here at OA.
That's pretty much all the news for this week, hope you're doing well.
