Overwhelmed, Like Woah.

No comics for almost a week. That's Lame Sauce. Capital letters, even.

More TRS classics this week. And I hope to post several new t-shirts soon.

Because One Project Is Never Enough

When I'm in lab I get to draw in ink and do watercolor and charcoals (my lab notes take forever) working on the tablet becomes really unappealing. However, I'll stop whining now.

I'm actually posting to say that another project I'm working on is up and running officially--Super Briefs Magazine. I think it's a really cool idea (hence why I started it with my good friend, Rachel Corsini) but also gives people a chance to submit who might not otherwise. Our first story is up (by talented author/photographer/general awesome person Nik Brink), and you should submit!

Submitting doesn't take much. You don't have to be a writer (stories are less than or equal to the length of a Twitter post!) and we'll get back to you quickly.

That's all for now, regular comic tomorrow.

After Dinner Addiction

My roommate and I have a package of these after dinner mints (also described as butter mints or dessert mints) and they're so good it's a little gross. In the meantime, early comic so that I can get some sleep tonight after I change embryo cultures.

For those of you who wonder about my living-ness and lack of comic, I'm in class 6 days a week right now, so it's a little intense and I'm trying to get drawing in whenever possible. :)

I Graduated!

So all you get is a photo of me at the Shedd for my "graduation ceremony."  (Read: I skipped my graduation ceremony and went to the Shedd Aquarium with my dad instead.)

It was an awesome day, and I'm about to go play board games with my bestie to celebrate.

And for the other people I know who graduated: congrats. We did it. :)

P.S. I don't know what's up with that crazed look in my eyes either, FYI.

So Close I Can Almost Taste It

And graduating tastes like glitter and cupcakes and awesome sauce.

Tomorrow I'm off doing the final reading of my undergraduate career at a big shindig downtown that my school has, so I'm scheduling tomorrow's comic.  (Hint: it's another ASW tribute.)

Besties (For Now)

For the first time in my entire life, I understand and enjoy something in math.

So, here I am skipping along with the indefinite integral and calculus bear.

Next week is my calc final, and I understand almost everything we've done pretty well, but I do have to review related rates.  Sigh.

Graduating Senior...I Hope

Some of you already know this, but I'm supposed to (finally) graduate this semester. And I realized I only have two weeks left.

I'm pretty sure this is what the face of despair looks like.

Wish me luck. I'll probably need it.

My Mad Scientist Efforts Continue

They aren't really wearing purple hammer pants when I look at them under the microscope, that's just a dramatization. But they do look like they're wearing little parachute pants.

I work with sea urchin embryos (Arbacia punctulata pluteus embryos, to be specific) looking for abnormal development when the embryos develop in chlorinated water. If you're really interested, my advisor and I did present a poster of our work at the 2010 SICB.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've had a busy day breaking the french language and redefining calculus theorems. A mad scientist needs his/her rest.

See you all à demain!

School.

School is rough right now (and by rough I mean I'm struggling, and struggling hard) so it's going to be not until tomorrow for a comic.

Wish me luck.

May I Introduce Calculus Bear

This sums up tonight for me. It's a cheap shot drawing, but what can I say? You all knew I wasn't classy.

Anyways, wish me luck.

Calculus Class Today (=phalewhale)

Yea...I should mention here that I'm pretty certain Calculus I is going to hand my my keister on a shiny, silver platter.

Up side: as my brain melts and slowly drips from my ear canals onto my sweatshirt, it makes interesting patterns.

End of Semester

Yea, you probably all have this moment at some point.

I might start missing days as the end of the semester looms ever closer--though I will hope to just post even photos of my doodles from my journal.

Anyways, yea.  Oh god I'm so nervous.
