It's Gonna Be Okay, I Can Tell

Today's comic brought to you by NASA and wikipedia.

Captain's Log

Oh emo space travelers.

Hope your Friday was good, and in case you were wondering all tomorrow sales will continue at the store, so now's the time to buy! The discounted items change every two hours, so check back frequently.

Wouldn't It Be Cool if I Did, Though?

This emo comic comes from the title of an explodingdog drawing, done without looking at the actual drawing first.

And in the store for tonight: an awesome shirt about tacos is ready for you to purchase, love and wear!

P.S. Yes, yes, I know Yoda says, "Do or do not, there is no try." You don't have to leave a comment with that in it.

It's Not Too Late

I love explodingdog and decided to take one of the titles of a new drawing and try drawing what I imagined for it without looking at the image first. The full title of his was "A follow up letter. It is not too late," and you can see it here.

In other news, today I spent about five minutes hugging a box of cereal when I found out I could it after all (see: food allergy girl).

It's a Pretty Good Analogy at Least

A weekend TRS vault special! This isn't really how solar flares happen, but I did go to a party with a bonfire tonight and all my burps taste like burnt marshmallows, so this one was ringing true for me.

EDIT: Every once and a while I have a spelling mistake. This is one of those times. Special thanks to reader Kristy who pointed out Mercury says "nanchos," not nachos. I could fix this and pretend it didn't happen, but you readers deserve better. And it's pretty funny.

Space Must be Nice, Though

Apparently insomnia also increases my emo levels. Ah well, nothing to be done for it now but sleep.

Usually I hate that my moleskine pages are so thin, but tonight I used it to my advantage to make cool doodles in the background.

I Dream of Rocketships and Jetpacks

I was rereading old Exploding Dog tonight, so you get some of that madness. I always feel vaguely inadequate after reading this comic, so I'm probably going to have to boost my ego by playing Minesweeper.

Thanks to Maker Faire this weekend, I have the beginnings of my evil robot army. Jetpacks and rocketships are next on my list. Still stalled on the phylum-change serum.

P.S. My trackpad art still leaves a lot to be desired, but I think I'm improving. Tomorrow I'll be home and real art (derisive snort) will resume.

Tardigrades: Best Epic Mount Ever

Phyla Tardigrada: possibly the best, most cuter-est thing to ever survive the vacuum of space.

I love these little dudes so much.  And I've decided that when I do become a fully fledged mad scientist, I'll have to develop a shrink ray that would reduce me to < 0.05mm long.  Just so I can ride a tardigrade around in our watery paradise.

I mainly used this site for my image reference, and there you can read all about the cool things "water bears" do.

P.S. Yes I have seen them in person under a microscope, and yes I did "Squee" like a fangirl meeting David Tennant.

ETA: This comic now has a shirt in the store!  Go buy it!  Keep me in burritos!

A Night Off

It's that day of the year, etc. Anyways, I'm taking the night off, but before I go I wanted to share with you possibly the most excellent, bizarre valentine this year (and I got more than one this year, which never happens!).

I don't know who to give credit for the image to--if you know, please tell me and I'll amend this to include a copyright for them. It's just so epically fantasgasmic I don't know what to do with myself. Also, it was from Kupcake.

I like to think that I am the creeper in the cape--because that is just what I look like!

Okay, I'll admit it, I'm having cape-envy.

happy etc.
