I'm staying at Kupcake's house tonight, and she has two dachshunds. They only LOOK innocent. Really, they're robots and dragons. No lie.

Nomming Friendships

I have a couple of friends with whom I have nomming relationships (sometimes having friend noms is important) but Kupcake is already world famous (she's on stamps, for Darwin's sake!), so I drew it with her.

It's not really a nom, anyways. More like a nibble with mild gumming.

If you've never tried it before, I find it excessively comforting.

Kupcake the Riveter

Kupcake hasn't been on in a long time! Voila, Kupcake à Rosie le Riveter!

Rosie is one of Kristy's favorite images/heroines. Kristy is kind of a Rosie the Riveter to me personally. I'd say she and Rosie both have a mantra of, "Put on your big girl panties and do it."

Sometimes I need to hear it. (Okay, I need to hear it a lot.)

Sorry it's been so long, I've been finishing/recovering from school. Also, I went to kayak camp (otherwise known as WMCKA's symposium) and have been mightily occupied.

Hopefully, tomorrow I'll have some photos of my marine tank as well as a drawing or two finished.

Sorry, Tonight I am Drawing Phale

Yep.  Can't seem to draw.

Was going to do a Kupcake, but couldn't get it to work.

Kupcake Vs. Beige--WHO WILL WIN?!

It's totally true. Why doesn't Kupcake love beige? Because beige is NOT FABULOUS. And Kupcake wants to be FABULOUS.  ALWAYS!!

Kristy the Cupcake was knitting some Endpaper Mitts out of some lovely soft alpaca a friend brought back for her from Peru. Unfortunately, both of the yarns were natural colored--beige and beiger.

She was the most miserable cupcake I've ever seen.  (The project has since been ripped out due to beige-itis.)

Who's the Most Fabulous Cupcake Ever? (Hint: It's Kupcake!)

A special update because I know how much this will make Kristy the happiest cupcake ever.

For the record, Kristy is the most fabulous straight person I have ever met.  It's very alarming!

(EDIT: I'm really disappointed how much the intertoobs dulled the colors on this.  It's really much brighter in its original form.)

Introducing: Kupcake

After I finished drawing this, I immediately though of my friend Kristy, who really is a punk-ass cupcake if there ever was one.  Hence, I have named this character Kupcake!

I do plan to continue on doing a series of her trials and travails in her cupcake-form.  Already another one drawn up in the notebook (I had a lot of time while I was waiting at Out-Patient Registration today).
