I love spring for all the insects that come out, especially caterpillars.
This is a scheduled post, so hopefully the reading went well. :)
All right, time for bed!

This was a scheduled post, but I wanted to edit it and say I WON that Literary Death Match Thing I read at tonight. And I won by WEEZER. Most epic night ever. Soon videos will be up on their website, and I'll happily link you to them. It was awesome.
Sea life, nerdism, weirdo thoughts and my continued efforts to become a mad scientist

I Blame the Winter Beetle
This small, cute, mythical insect is the reason winter keeps coming back. Meet the Winter Beetle. See those ice teeth? That menacing glare of cold? The blue sneakers?
Classic signs of a winter beetle.
Creature week is almost half over, I've been enjoying it quite a lot. :)
Hopefully it's less cold tomorrow.

Spring-Y
This is my favorite time of year, so I can't help but constantly doodle about it. And as today's comic shows, sometimes even when I'm not doodling about spring, my doodle still reminds me of spring.Once again, my apologies for the abrupt drop-off of comics, but schoolwork comes first (sigh).
See you all tomorrow!

First Rule About Spring is We Don't Talk About Spring
Sometimes I feel like if I talk too loudly about spring coming, it will stop happening, it will all halt right where it is and suddenly go back to being winter. We've had a few consecutive days now that, dare I say it, are almost spring-like, but in Chicago one never knows.
This time of year, I always feel like I'm spying covertly on all the bulbs waiting to pop up, afraid they might decide to stop growing.

From the Journal (Artsy Fartsy!)
lately I've been doing a lot of these tree doodles and quick sketches (max 30 sec. usually) of trees I see off of the train on my ride to school.I figured I would try and draw some of these into the 'puter and play with colors and the like. The orange and blue were actually the colors I drew them in originally because I carry markers with me.
On one of my drawings I have "Trees are fractals" written in as a note. Hmm.
